Nampa Public Shooting Range

Idaho Fish and Game's Nampa Public Shooting Range, located at 222 W. Railroad Street in Nampa, provides a safe, fun place for kids and adults to shoot a unique combination of air guns and archery equipment under one roof.

The Nampa Public Shooting Range is one of four Idaho shooting ranges owned and managed by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Fish and Game leases the property from the City of Nampa, while day-to-day range operations are a shared responsibility with AIR Idaho, Inc. and Nampa Bow Chiefs.
 
Fees
 
  • Indoor Airgun Range: $10 per shooter. Fees included first air gun target. Additional targets and shooting glasses are available for sale, in addition to air gun rentals
  • Indoor Archery Range: $5 per shooter
  • Outdoor Archery Range: Free
 
For those who need assistance with shooting, a range officer is always on duty at the indoor ranges.

 

Hours

  • Indoor Air Gun Range: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
  • Indoor Archery Range:
    • June 1 through Sept. 30:
      • Monday – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
      • Tuesday through Thursday – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
      • 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Oct. 1 through May 31:
      • Monday-Thursday – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
      • 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Outdoor Archery Range: Daily from sunrise to sunset.

Air Gun Range

The air gun range allows for shooting at distances up to 25 yards. Soft-cast pellets (only), ranging is size form .177 to .50 are regularly used at the range. Guests can bring their own air rifles or use any of the demo guns available at the range. These are not the "BB" guns that some kids had growing up! These are sophisticated, powerful, and accurate air guns, that are regularly used for everything from Idaho big game hunts to African safaris. Two examples include:

A range safety officer is on-site for the well-being of all guests.

Archery Range

The archery range allows for shooting distances of five to 25 yards. Rolling targets insure that all shooters use the same firing line, regardless of shooting distance. Target arrows only. A range safety officer is on site for the well being of all guests.

Outdoor Archery Range

This range is open daily, sunrise to sunset. Admission is free, and a donation box is on-site.
