Draft Snake River White Sturgeon Management Plan 2023-2032

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking comments on its newly updated Draft Snake River White Sturgeon Management Plan 2023-2032. This revised plan will guide White Sturgeon management and conservation priorities throughout the Snake River during the next 10 years.

The updated plan includes new information on Snake River White Sturgeon regarding: 

  • Population assessments, abundance objectives, and future work by river reach 
  • Information on threats to populations
  • Proposed fishery management and conservation strategies  
  • Conservation aquaculture program and stocking goals

Review the draft plan below and submit comments by September 24th at 6 p.m. MDT.

The final draft of the plan will be presented for the Commission's consideration at their November 2023 meeting.
