Idaho Fish and Game is seeking comments on its Draft Idaho Pronghorn Management Plan 2023-2028. The plan will provide guidance for staff to implement management actions that will aid in the protection and management of pronghorn populations and guide harvest recommendations.
Due to a technical error, this public comment period has been extended from April 12 to April 16. Review the draft plan below and submit comments by April 16, 2023, at 6 p.m. MDT.
The final draft of the plan will be presented for the Commission's approval at their May 2023 meeting.
Draft Idaho Pronghorn Management Plan 2023-2028
The plan identifies major issues that affect pronghorn management in Idaho and will function as the action plan to help guide overall direction for management during the next six years (2023-2028). This plan will guide the Department in annual work plan development and program prioritization and provide guidance on development of regulatory recommendations.
The plan includes management direction for the following topics:
A new approach with the release of the draft Pronghorn Management Plan is the development of a supplement to the Plan. The supplemental document contains technical information and documents much of the history of pronghorn management in Idaho. It will reference management direction that is approved by the Commission in the management plan.
