1. Moose Creek Reservoir | Surrounded by rolling hills and trees; a pretty spot that provides good fishing throughout the year. | Take Idaho State Highway 8, 1 ½ miles east of Bovill, Idaho. Turn north at the Sportsmen Access sign and drive another 1 ½ miles to the reservoir. Trout are stocked in this reservoir in the spring, early summer and fall. | Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill | |
2. Spring Valley Reservoir | Surrounded by rolling hills and trees. You can drive right to it and fish from the docks or banks. Trout are stocked in the spring, early summer and fall and it provides good fishing throughout the year. | Travel 13 miles east of Moscow, Idaho on State Highway 8 through Troy. Turn north at the Fish & Game access sign and travel approximately 2 miles to the reservoir. | Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie | |
3. Winchester Lake | A beautiful lake in the trees. It's easy to get to and has good fishing though out the year. Part of the lake lies within Winchester State Park and anglers will need to pay a fee to access this section of the lake. | Located just south of town of Winchester off of US Highway 95. Take Joseph Ave south to reach the sportsman access side of the lake. Or take Camas St. and follow signs to Winchester Lake State Park. | Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, crappie, bullhead catfish, perch, channel catfish, tiger muskie | |
4. Tolo Lake | Provides fishing in the wide open Camas Prairie. It's easy to get to and supports a warm water fishery. | Driving north on US Highway 95 a few miles past Whitebird Pass, turn left onto Lake Road. Drive 2 more miles and you're there. | Channel catfish, crappie, largemouth bass | |
5. Deer Creek Reservoir | A beautiful mountain reservoir built specifically for fishing with trout as its special catch. Fishing from the shore or a boat are both good options on this large reservoir. | Deer Creek Reservoir is located approximately 11 miles north of Pierce, Idaho on State Highway 11. Driving along Hwy 11, look for Fish & Game access sign near historic Townsite 4 (Washington Creek Road). Turn east and travel approximately 1 ½ miles. Now turn at the Deer Creek Reservoir access sign. It is ½ mile from this turn off to the reservoir. Motorized access is permitted from this point from May 20 through September 30. Non-motorized access is permitted the remainder of the year. | Rrainbow trout, cutthroat trout | |
6. Campbell's Pond | A pretty little pond in the trees, with nice clear water and good bank fishing. This pond is stocked with trout in the spring and early summer. | Located 25 miles east of Orofino, Idaho on the Grangemont Road and 1.5 miles west of the junction with State Highway 11. From the Grangemont Road look for a Sportsman Access sign. Turn south and travel ½ mile to Campbell's Pond. | Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, sunfish | |
7. Fenn Pond | A small pond next to the Selway River with especially good fishing in the spring and early summer when it's stocked. | Turn south off of US Highway 12 onto the Selway River road at Lowell, Idaho. Travel 4 miles toward the Fenn Ranger Station. Fenn Pond is located immediately past the Ranger Station between the road and the Selway River. | Rainbow trout | |
8. Karolyn's Pond | Located at the Clearwater Hatchery's satellite facility on the Red River. It's a small, pretty pond with grassy banks and a dock for fishing. Trout are stocked in the spring and early summer. The Red River flows right past the pond. | From Grangeville or Kamiah, travel east on State Highway 14. Near the Shearer Lumber Mill turn on to the Red River Road (222). Travel approximately 8 miles to the IDFG facility. | Rainbow trout | |
