Spawning Ground Survey
A collaborative project among federal, state and tribal fish agencies and private industry. SGS compiles both redd count and carcass survey data into one database.
For each survey new redds, previous redds, live spawners, carcasses, biological and genetic samples, marks and tags are captured in the database. All of the data are georeferenced in decimal degree, WGS84, using GPS.

- 2023 Index Chinook Salmon Redd Counts
2023 Index Chinook Redd Counts used in the Spawning Ground Report (SGR), spring/summer chinook run forecasting, and High Level Indicators for Abundance and Productivity. Data are considered draft until published by collectors.
NOTE: These are not all the surveys done and do NOT represent Total Redds per stream and year. They are a subset that have consistently been done since 1957 and are used to derive estimates of abundance. Where SurveyNotDoneYN is True, the index survey or part of it was not done and the count should be Null. - Index Chinook Redd Counts for Spawning Ground Report and High Level Indicators
