No question, 2020 has been a crazy year, with COVID-19 impacting nearly every facet of our lives. But surprisingly, BCR continues to thrive, thanks to our loyal hunters and sport shooters. At the mid-October mark, BCR eclipsed last year's record attendance of 7133 visitors, logging visitor number 7200.
What's remarkable about that number is that BCR was shuttered for more than two and one-half months when the pandemic hit. BCR closed its gates prior to the last full weekend of March, and remained closed through April and May, reopening in mid-June. With all that, who would have thought then that the range would set a new public attendance record in 2020?
