The Deadwater ice jam on the Salmon River below North Fork broke free on the afternoon of March 5. Water visibility will be impacted downstream for a few days and a rain/snow mix is forecasted over the weekend, which may prolong reduced water visibility. Anglers can expect great fishing once conditions improve.
Below North Fork, springtime conditions commonly result in slides and water across the road, so be prepared and use caution when driving and deciding where to park.
Anglers are reminded the bag limits are one fish per day, three in possession. For other helpful tips, see reminders.
