Freeing fawn caught in fence

It happens across the state.  Deer and other wildlife get caught  in fences and wire, especially where houses and suburbs merge with open land.  Some wildlife, like this mule deer buck fawn outside of Salmon, Idaho, are lucky to be found and released.

Idaho Fish and Game receives hundreds of these types of calls every year. People can  help wildlife avoid some of these dangers by cleaning up loose wire, broken down fences and other similar items on their property.
