Anglers fishing the Clearwater (Mouth to Orofino Bridge 03) this past week from boats were spread out along the river. More anglers were seen fishing down around the Lewiston area this past week than have been in past weeks likely due to the steelhead derby. The most popular area is still from Peck to Orofino. Boat anglers are still having success side drifting bait or beads and back trolling with plugs. Shore anglers are reporting success with bobber and a jig with shrimp on it.
Anglers fishing from Orofino Bridge to the South Fork used the same tactics for fishing as anglers fishing below the Orofino Bridge. We are seeing drift boat anglers pretty much throughout this whole section of the river. Shore anglers are also pretty spread out.
