The Ramp Masters - People Behind the Scene Who Make Fishing Great

Boat ramp push at Bobcat Ramp, Salmon River, Idaho.

Fishing can be fantastic, but if you can't get to the water to wet-a-line; it's all for not.  There are many "faces" most anglers don't see or think about when going fishing - but they are vital to having a quality fishing experience.  People like our Engineers and Construction Crew are just as important as the biologists when it comes to the sport of fishing.

During August 2016, our Construction Crew was re-building the boat ramp and approach road to the Bobcat Boating Access site located north of Salmon, Idaho on the Salmon River.  Buck and crew were up before dawn pushing the underwater ramp section into place before beginning to form the above water ramp section.  This unique process for building boat ramps has been perfected by our crew to have minimal impacts on the environment, reduce costs and construction time.  The project will be completed within the next week and be ready for use during the fall steelhead season.

Next time you launch your boat, admire their work - and if you see them at places like Mormon,  Horsethief or Magic reservoirs, Mann Lake or Lake Pend Oreille over the coming year - thank them for being part of your experience on the water.
