Portions of the Boise River Wildlife Management Area (WMA) impacted by the Mile Marker 14 fire are now closed. The closure includes all burned areas on both sides of State Highway 21, all of Highland Valley Road, and all trails within the burned area.

Please note that Highland Valley Road is closed regardless of where it might be accessed. For example, persons hiking or biking West Highland Valley Trail or Lucky Peak Trail must return via those trails and not continue hiking along Highland Valley Road.
