Sandpoint man wins $1,000 for catching walleye through Angler Incentive Program

Another Idaho angler has won $1,000 in the Lake Pend Oreille walleye lottery. Doug Lambrecht of Sandpoint caught his reward-tagged walleye while fishing shallow weed beds along the northern lakeshore during mid-July. The winning fish was tagged in Feb. 2020 near Fisherman’s Island.

A cow elk was shot and left to waste southeast of the Double Springs Road near the base of Mt. Borah in Unit 50. Fish and Game Conservation Officers are looking for any information the public may have to help solve this case.

Construction Efforts Continue at Horsethief Reservoir

Horsethief Reservoir will soon be getting a new boat ramp – sort of. The popular King’s Point boat ramp is showing its age and will be replaced in September.

Prime nursery grounds for Hells Canyon bighorn sheep permanently protected along the Snake River

Returned elk/deer tags will be sold on Aug. 13
