The Snake River clean-up day is a great opportunity to help conserve Idaho's natural resources.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID restrictions, Idaho Fish and Game, Magic Valley Region is pleased to partner with Idaho Power Company and Ducks Unlimited to bring back the Snake River clean-up day in mid-April.

The half-day effort will be held on Saturday, April 15 from 10:00 a.m. to early afternoon.

The clean-up is a great opportunity for individuals, families and church or civic groups to get involved.

The clean-up will focus on the Snake River from Buhl downstream to Hagerman, where volunteers will focus their efforts on access sites along the river, with some work being done along the shoreline from boats.

Ducks Unlimited will be providing volunteers an opportunity to win raffle prizes.

Idaho Power Company will provide a light lunch to all volunteers following the clean-up.

Due to limitations in available equipment up to 60 volunteers slots will be filled by those wanting to participate. If possible, volunteers will be encouraged to bring chest or hip waders.

To sign up, contact the Magic Valley Region at (208) 324-4359. Instructions on where volunteers will be meeting up will be sent out to volunteers prior to the week-end effort.
