So you want to be a Conservation Officer? This workshop is for you!

Idaho Fish and Game will be offering a one-day Women Warden’s Workshop on Saturday, July 27, 2024, for anyone interested in a career as a Conservation Officer for Idaho Fish and Game. The workshop will be held at the Magic Valley Regional Office in Jerome from 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. Attendees can participate in person at the regional office or virtually by Zoom.

The workshop will focus on the recruitment of female candidates, but anyone who is interested in a career as a Conservation Officer is encouraged to attend.

Pre-registration is required for the workshop. To register, go to the Fish and Game webpage, or call your nearest Fish and Game office. 

The goal of the workshop is to provide information to those interested in a career in law enforcement by helping them understand and plan for the education and life skills that will make them highly qualified applicants.

Participants will have the opportunity to be introduced to several current female conservation officers and learn from their experiences as officers. 

Several presentations will be offered, such as a session highlighting the typical activities an officer encounters throughout the year, a case investigation presentation, and the Magic Valley Region’s K-9 officer Riley and his handler, Officer Jim Stirling will provide a skills demonstration.
