Have Breakfast With Your Fish and Game Commissioners

The Panhandle Region of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) holds a monthly "Sportsman's Breakfast" to stay engaged with area hunters, anglers and trappers. This month, sportsmen will have an infrequent opportunity when the members of the Fish and Game Commission will join them for breakfast. The breakfast will be held Tuesday, May 17 at the Lake City Center, 1916 Lakewood Dr. in Coeur d'Alene beginning at 6:30am. A full breakfast is $8.50, however, attendees may choose to forego the breakfast if they choose to only meet the Commissioners, IDFG staff, and other sportsmen. The Commission is in Coeur d'Alene for their quarterly meeting Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17 at the IDFG Panhandle regional office in Coeur d'Alene. A public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. (PST) Monday, May 16. Members of the public who want to address the commission on any topic having to do with Fish and Game business may do so at the public hearing. All testimony will be taken into consideration when the commission makes decisions on agenda items at the meeting. The commission meeting will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday May 17. Routine agenda items include setting a summer season for Chinook salmon, consideration of the fiscal 2018 budget direction, election of commission chairman and vice-chairman, direction on the expenditure of Wolf Control Board funds, and briefings on non-biological rules for game animals.
