Give the Gift of a Fish and Game Gift Certificate
idfg-mdemick
An Idaho Fish and Game gift certificate can be a great gift idea for the outdoor lovers on our Christmas lists.
Adult residents age 18 and older can apply gift certificates to the cost of their license. Adults must pick up their license in person because they need to show proof of residency. Regional Fish and Game offices are the only place to purchase a gift certificate for hunting or fishing license and gift certificates can only be redeemed at a Fish and Game office. A license can be purchased for your minor child but a gift certificate is the only way to go for an adult license.
Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount to cover the cost of various license options. Depending on the age of the recipient, lifetime licenses cost from $276 to just over $1,000. Yearly licenses sell from $7 for junior hunting to $125 for the Sportsman's Package. A sportsman's package includes a combination hunting and fishing license and tags for deer, elk, bear, mountain lion, wolf, turkey, salmon and steelhead, as well as archery and muzzleloader permits. That's a savings of nearly $70 compared to buying the items separately.
Hunting and fishing licenses for 2016 became available on December 1st. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For questions or more information, contact the Clearwater Region Office at (208) 799-5010 or visit us at 3316 16th Street, Lewiston.
