Youth pheasant hunting area available near Potlatch

Idaho Department of Fish and Game has worked with a landowner and the Game Bird Foundation to provide youth pheasant hunting opportunities on a 138 acre Access Yes! Parcel on the Palouse River, north of Potlatch, Idaho. To hunt on the property, eligible youth must be 15 years old or younger, possess a valid hunting license or passport, and be accompanied by a licensed adult mentor 18 years or older. Sign-in is required and the number of youth hunters is limited to five per day. For directions to the property, review an Access Yes! brochure available at the Idaho Fish and Game office in Lewiston, 3316 16th Street, or simply call 208-799-5010. Pheasant season is open through December 31, 2015.
