The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking the public's assistance in locating the person or persons responsible for the killing and wasting of a 5-point bull elk up Divide Creek near the Continental Divide in the Beaverhead Elk Zone. Conservation Officers investigating the scene estimate that the elk was killed on Monday, August 31. The elk was found with the hide partially cut out, and was left to waste on the mountain. A violation of this nature could result in a reward of up to $1,000 to the person providing information leading to apprehension of those responsible for this senseless waste of Idaho's wildlife. Anyone with information about this incident or any other poaching can anonymously call the 24-hour Citizens Against Poaching Hotline at 1-800-632-5999.
