Free Waterfowl Hunting Clinic Planned Near Bruneau Sept. 5

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will hold an Introduction to Waterfowl Hunting Clinic at the C.J. Strike Wildlife Management Area near Bruneau on September 5th. Participants of all ages are encouraged to join Idaho Fish and Game and Ducks Unlimited for a free introduction to waterfowl hunting. The clinic is designed to give new hunters an introduction to important skills to enjoy waterfowl hunting. Activities will include duck identification, decoy spreads, hunting equipment, calls, and dog training tips. The goal is to help develop life-long connections and interests in outdoor recreation and wildlife. Instructors are knowledgeable and skilled waterfowl hunters from Idaho Fish and Game and Ducks Unlimited. The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the C. J. Strike Wildlife Management Area. The WMA borders the Snake River, and includes portions of Owyhee County south of the river and Elmore County to the north.
