Q: If I purchase a second general season tag for elk at a discount, can I use it in a different elk zone than my first tag? A: Yes, as long as there are still nonresident general season tags available for that zone at the time you purchase a second tag. In addition, you would need to designate the second general season tag specifically for that hunt. There are 9 elk zones where total tag sales (resident and nonresident) are limited by quotas. Currently there are 3 elk zones that are sold out. Don't wait - these general season tags are being discounted August 1 - 31, after which they will resume their regular prices until nonresident tags are sold out.
