Garden City's Riverside Pond to get New Path and Fishing Dock

Anglers and other users of Garden City's Riverside Pond, located at the corner of Glenwood Street and West Riverside Drive will soon have a new fishing dock to enjoy. To be installed adjacent to the parking lot on the west side of Riverside Pond, the ADA-accessible fishing dock and pathway will provide safer access to the water for anglers of all ages. Idaho Fish and Game personnel will begin path construction and dock installation the week of July 20th. During the two-week construction period, the parking lot at Riverside Park will be closed; pond and greenbelt users are encouraged to use alternative parking sites such as West Moreland Park directly across Glenwood Street from the pond or the parking area on the southeast side of Glenwood Bridge. The pond improvement project was made possible thanks to contributions from Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation, Idaho Power Company, Boise Valley Fly Fishers, Garden City Parks and Waterways, and Idaho Fish and Game.
