Q. How can I get my kid into a hunter education course in time for hunting seasons this fall? A. Idaho hunter education courses are offered in all parts of the state, but their availability varies. To find out when courses are offered in your area and to register, visit the Idaho Fish and Game website at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/public/education/?getPage=30. Courses are taught by volunteer instructors who, just like their students, want to put down the books and go hunting in the fall. Waiting until fall is not recommended because courses fill very quickly and not as many are offered.
