A new video on Fish and Game's website captures the excitement surrounding the grand opening of a new fishing pond and archery range at Castle Rocks State Park south of Burley on June 27th. "We have a long history of partnership with Idaho Parks and Recreation and this pond and archery range demonstrate our combined efforts to provide quality outdoor recreation for families," said Virgil Moore, Director of Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Fish and Game worked closely with Idaho Parks and Recreation on engineering and design of the 1.4 acre fishing pond and provided funding for the 14-station archery range. The Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation and Idaho State Bowhunters also provided additional funding. More than 150 people attended the event, as part of the 50th Anniversary of the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation. Lunch was provided by the Almo Parent Teacher Organization and Cache Peak Civic Association to raise funds for school and civic activities.
