Q. I'm a resident wanting to hunt elk during the general season, but in a zone with a "cap" on the number of tags available. When can I pick up my "capped" elk tag? A. Resident general season tags for elk zones subject to a cap go on sale Friday, July 10 at 12:00 a.m. MST. These tags are offered over the counter on a first come first served basis. Once a capped zone is sold out, there will not be any additional tags offered for that zone.
