Safety Advisory on Craig Mountain Wildlife Management Area

Recreational users are encouraged to be prepared for falling trees and eroded trenches across roads, especially down Eagle Creek Road on the Craig Mountain Wildlife Management Area south of Lewiston. The recent storms, combined with conditions from last year's Big Cougar Fire has created road damage, falling debris, and unstable trees. Outdoor enthusiasts are urged to be prepared and use caution. Land managers from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Idaho Department of Lands, the Bureau of Land Management, and The Nature Conservancy are currently working to open and improve access throughout this area.
