Q. I want to sign up for a controlled hunt, but I can't until I have a license and to get a license I have to take a hunter education course. How soon can I get in? A. It depends on where you live. Check the Fish and Game Hunter Education website at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/public/education/?getPage=30 or contact the nearest Fish and Game office for information on courses offered in your area. Several course options are available; instructor-led, self-study workbook or an online course. All three require attending an outdoor field day. Parental consent is required for students under 18.
