The Idaho Environmental Education Association has recognized Fish and Game's Project WILD coordinator, Lori Adams, for her contributions to environmental education. The IdEEA awarded Adams the Environmental Educator of the Year Award in the non-formal education category. The award recognizes outstanding excellence in environmental education in our communities and identifies educators who make continuous and enduring contributions through their dynamic, creative approaches to environmental education in Idaho. The non-formal category recognizes educators who achieve these goals outside of the formal classroom. Adams' Project WILD program is well-known nationally and internationally for its engaging, thought-provoking and hands-on approach to teaching educators about wildlife. "Lori's passion for her work has influenced and inspired hundreds of Idaho teachers who, in-turn, have shared Project WILD and Idaho's wildlife with thousands of students," said Conservation Education Supervisor Vicky Runnoe. "This award is a much deserved recognition of Lori's hard work and dedication." The awards also recognize teachers at the elementary level and secondary level for outstanding work in environmental education.
