Accessible Hunting Sites

Fish and Game managaes 32 Wildlife Management Areas across Idaho that are available for hunting, fishing and other public enjoyment of wildlife. Varying from 275 to 85,000 acres, each area is dedicated to primary purposes such as big game, waterfowl and upland game.

The U.S. Forest Service makes some hunting opportunities available for hunters with disabilities. The opportunities, requirements and availability vary. For more information contact the Forest Service Ranger District in the area you wish to hunt (see the tables below) and see the map of the ranger districts and game units [PDF, 815 KB].

Idaho Fish and Game has two portable, trailer mounted deer blinds available for use by hunters with disabilities. The portable blinds were donated by the Paralyzed Veterans of America and are available at no charge. Priority is given to paralyzed veterans, followed by veterans with disabilities, and then any hunter with a disability. To reserve one of the blinds, contact the Panhandle Region or Southeast Region office.
