Docket No. 13-0110-2601: Rules Governing Importation, Possession, Release, Sale, or Salvage of Wildlife
Description
Negotiated rulemaking is being initiated to provide the Department the ability to manage Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) management zones down to the specific Game Management Unit (GMU). The language revision would make moving an animal carcass between GMUs within a CWD management zone illegal whether salvaged or taken through hunting. Current language allows movement of whole carcasses, that may contain brain or spinal tissue, between GMUs within a CWD management zone.
