The Idaho Department of Fish and Game and Flinders Ranch have agreed to allow limited public hunting for Sandhill Crane on this private property in Game Management Unit 73 for the 2024 hunting season.

Permission to access this property is subject to adherence to the rules outlined below. Operating outside of these rules rescinds the landowner’s permission. Violators can be charged with trespass, punishable by fines and/or loss of hunting and fishing privileges.

Flinders Ranch Rules

  • Hunting for Sandhill Crane only.
    • Hunter is responsible for all proper licenses and tags.
  • Hunters have access on dates they have confirmed registrations only.
    • Allowed 2023 hunting access range is September 1, 2023 – September 30, 2023
  • Only 1 party not to exceed 4 total hunters is allowed on this property per day.
    • Hunters may sign up for a maximum of 5 days.
  • Hunters must park in designated areas (signs will be posted)
  • Vehicles in the designated parking areas must have a printed copy of the sign-up registration displayed on the dash of their vehicle and visible to inspection.
  • No motorized vehicles. Hunting is Walk-In only!
    • Motorized vehicles are not allowed on property beyond parking areas.
    • Game retrieval must be by foot or other non-motorized means.
  • Contact Fish and Game only. Do not contact the landowner.
    • Hunter can contact Fish and Game with all questions and concerns. All interactions should be directed to IDFG at 208-232-4703.
    • Do not contact the landowner for game retrieval assistance or any other matters.
  • Leave all gates as found
    • e.g. close all gates that are closed and leave open gates open
  • No camping.
  • No fires.
  • Pack in, pack out your trash.

 

Registration Required

Hunters accessing this private property must register and agree to the terms and conditions of this property prior to participation and will be provided the rules and expectations of this property at registration. Violations of the rules can result in denial of future access, and/or criminal prosecution for trespass.
