Youth hunting clinic planned for June 17

JEROME - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will host a Youth Hunting Clinic, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jerome Rod & Gun Club. Students will be instructed in shotgun, rifle, muzzleloader and archery shooting; blood trailing, conservation, ethics, and traditions of hunting. Shotguns, muzzleloaders, ammunition and archery equipment will be provided. Students wishing to participate in rifle shooting are required to bring their own rifles and ammunition. Cost is $5; lunch and refreshments will be provided. The clinic is open to students 9 to 17 years of age who have completed Hunters Educations. The clinic is limited to the first 40 participants who register at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game Region Office, 868 East Main, Jerome. Students should wear long pants, short-sleeved shirt, hat, high-top shoes (no sandals), and bring sunscreen, and water. Deadline for registration is June 15.
