Yellowstone Ecosystem Subcommittee Set To Hold Fall Meeting In Bozeman 11/5 & 11/6

IDAHO FALLS - The multi-agency group responsible for the coordination of grizzly bear recovery in the Yellowstone Ecosystem is set to hold its annual fall meeting on November 5 & 6 at the Grantree Inn in Bozeman, Montana. The facility is located at 1325 North 7th Avenue. The first meeting session will start at 1:00 PM on Wednesday the 5th and end at 5 PM that day. The meeting will than resume at 8:00 AM Thursday the 6th and end at noon. The purpose of the meeting is to allow the various state and federal agencies that oversee grizzly bear recovery efforts in the Yellowstone Ecosystem to come together and coordinate future management actions. The managers of member agencies will be hear presentations made by various partners working on different aspects of grizzly bear recovery in the ecosystem. Reports will be heard from the grizzly bear study team, the biological working group, and the information & education working group. Representatives of organizations interested in grizzly bear recovery will also be present, as well as representatives from county governments in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. The meeting is open to the general public, but because of time constraints the meeting is very structured and follows an agenda set previous to the actual meeting. A short period is traditionally allotted at the end of each day to allow for general comment from the public.
