Worm Bin Composting Workshop

Gardeners who want to know more about the care and feeding of worms can register for a composting workshop at the MK Nature Center in Boise. Jennie Rylee, Education Coordinator for Boise City Public Works and avid composter, will reveal the secrets of building and maintaining a composting worm bin. Those who attend the workshop will build their own worm bin to take home. The red wiggler worms in a composting bin will work year round recycling kitchen scraps, reducing garbage, and producing free fertilizer for house and garden plants. A $23 fee will cover the cost of all materials needed including a bin. Participants must pre-register by February 7 for the February 21 class. The class will run from 1-3 p.m.
