Wild Turkey Hunting Season Comments Sought

Because it's not too early to be thinking about next year's turkey hunting seasons, Fish and Game is inviting the public to comment on 2005 season proposals. Only one change in Southwest Idaho turkey hunting seasons is being proposed. It would involve adding ten additional youth hunt tags to the controlled hunt currently being offered in unit 38. "The idea is to generate additional interest in turkey hunting among young hunters," Fish and Game wildlife manager Jon Rachael noted. A complete copy of all proposed changes to 2005 turkey hunting seasons is available at any Fish and Game office or on line at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov. "We want to encourage folks to drop by the office or go on line to comment," Rachael said. But you'd better hurry. The comment period ends on Tuesday, December 7.
