Two Elk Hunts Changed

Elk controlled hunt number 2085 in Unit 37 has been closed. The Idaho Fish and Game Commission approved the closure in a telephone conference call meeting May 20. The Commission added 100 permits in hunt 2084 to compensate for closing the other hunt. Fish and Game wildlife staff explained that an error in preparing the current big game hunting rulebook caused 300 cow hunting permits to coincide with a bull hunt. The change will let bull hunters in the area have two weeks before cow hunting begins.
