Trophy Buck's Disappearance Labeled Suspicious

A trophy mule deer buck - with a distinctive drop tine on its right antler - has come up missing, and Fish and Game is asking the public for any information regarding the buck mule deer. The big buck frequented the Cottonwood drainage near Stites north of Grangeville, according to Fish and Game conservation officer Robert Sellers. "We have no hard evidence that the buck was poached," Sellers said. "But it disappeared just after the hunting season ended in that area, and some circumstantial evidence points to a possible poaching."
