Super Hunt Winners Announced

idfg-mcoleman
Winners in the second of two Idaho Super Hunt drawings have been picked. One Super Hunt Combo entry was drawn that entitles the winner to hunt for one each elk, deer, pronghorn and moose. Seven other winners were picked for single species tag each - two elk, two deer and two pronghorn hunts as well as one moose hunt. Two Idaho hunters won deer tags; two nonresident hunters won elk tags; two resident hunters won pronghorn tags; a resident hunter won the moose tag; and a resident hunter won the combo - a set of four tags, one for each species. The winners were drawn from 3,915 deer tag entries; 4,007 elk entries; 974 pronghorn entries; 2,413 moose entries; and 1,446 Super Combo entries. All winners have been contacted. State law prohibits Fish and Game from releasing the names of the winners. Winners may participate in any open hunt this fall, following the rules for the hunts they choose, for example, archery-only or muzzleloader-only hunts. Money from the sale of entries in the Super Hunt - described as the hunt of a lifetime - supports the Access Yes! Program, which compensates landowners who provide hunter and angler access to or across private land. For information about this program contact local Fish and Game officials or visit the website at: http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/ifwis/huntplanner/accessyesguide.aspx
