Steelhead And Salmon Anglers Sought To Discuss Clearwater River Fishery Issues

LEWISTON - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game will host public meetings in Lewiston and Orofino to provide an opportunity for anglers and interested citizens to offer their input on issues and trends related to current salmon and steelhead fisheries on the Clearwater River. Fisheries management staff will provide a brief historical background of current regulations and management programs. Fisheries staff will not present any proposals to change current fishing regulations. Issues identified at these meetings may provide a basis for formal surveys. The Orofino meeting will be held at the National Guard Armory on Tuesday, September 28, while the Lewiston meeting will be held at the Lewiston Community Center on Wednesday, September 29.
