South Fork Salmon River to Close July 10

Salmon anglers will have one more weekend to fish for Chinook salmon on the South Fork Salmon River. The final day anglers can fish for Chinook on the South Fork Salmon River will be Sunday July 10. Anadromous Fisheries Coordinator Bill Horton said managers recommended the closure based on the number of Chinook harvested so far, and anticipated harvest over the weekend. "We anticipate we will reach our quota for the state's share of the harvestable unlisted Chinook salmon by Sunday," Horton said. Fishing on the South Fork Salmon River will close at the end of fishing hours (10:29 pm) on Sunday July 10.
