Silent Secret of Snakes

idfg-staff
The "Silent Secret of Snakes" will be revealed in a special presentation coming March 2 to the MK Nature Center in Boise. Wildlife educator Frank Lundburg will present the program with the help of his legless assistants at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, at the Nature Center located at 600 South Walnut. The program is free but a $3 donation is encouraged. The program will include discussion of the natural history of snakes and reptiles followed by "hands-on" experience. Lundburg educates the public on topics such as the care and safe handling of reptiles as well as the natural history of the animals. Several native Idaho snakes are part of the program. Doors will be open at 11 a.m. on March 2 at the Nature Center so visitors can enjoy displays. Outdoor exhibits, open sunrise to sunset, include a stream and pond with native fish and wildlife. The Nature Center is well known for its large glass windows that offer an underwater view of large trout and other fish.
