Salmon Fishing Ends Thursday Statewide

Chinook salmon fishing will end Thursday evening statewide for this year. Idaho Fish and Game fish managers say anglers will have caught state's share of hatchery-origin adult Chinook salmon by the end of fishing - one hour after sunset local time - Thursday, July 17, on the South Fork Salmon River and on the Upper Salmon River. The South Fork and Upper Salmon rivers will be closed to all nontribal salmon fishing, even catch-and-release. No other waters are open in Idaho to salmon fishing.
