Sale Date of Leftover Permits Changed

idfg-staff
Meeting by telephone conference call June 11, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission voted to change the sale date for permits not issued during the drawing for deer, elk and antelope controlled hunts. The new date will be Monday, July 16. Permits will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Mountain time and 9:00 a.m. Pacific time. Leftover permits will be available at Fish and Game offices and license vendors statewide. A list of available permits will be distributed to media and posted on the Fish and Game web site prior to the sale. The actual rule change provides that the sale can take place 45 days after the close of the application period for the drawing, but moves the sale to the next business day if it would fall on a Sunday, as was the case this year. The date printed in the big game rules brochure was July 15.
