Reminders for Harvest Reports Go Out

idfg-nnokkentved
A bright yellow reminder postcard is being mailed out this week to hunters who have not yet reported on tags they have purchased. Many hunts still are open, or open later. About 145,000 postcards will be sent. Some reports from hunters may cross in the mail - it takes more than a week to print and mail the postcards. Hunters are required to report within 10 days after taking an animal - deer, elk, or pronghorn antelope - or within 10 days after their season closes if no animals are taken. They can report by mail to Idaho Fish and Game Hunter Harvest Reports, P.O. Box 70007, Boise, ID 83707-0107; by phone at 877-268-9365; fax to 775-423-0799; or online at http://fishandgame.idaho.gov/cms/hunt/harvest_report/. Reporting online is the most accurate and the hunter gets a confirmation of the information submitted. The sooner hunters report on their tags, the less expense in sending reminder postcards now and a letter in December or January. Hunters who do not report will not be able to buy a license the following year until the report is filed. A new license may be bought only after the report has been filed.
