Rainbow Trout Stocking Report

Personnel from Fish and Game's Nampa Hatchery will be releasing more than 14,000 catchable-sized rainbow trout at the following locations during February. Because of high river flows, local ponds are the focus of this month's stocking efforts. LOCATION - - - NUMBER OF TROUT Boise River (Boise) - 250 Caldwell Pond #2 - 500 Eagle Island Park Pond - 500 Ed's Pond (Emmett) - 250 Marsing Pond - 500 McDevitt Pond (Meridian) - 500 Merrill Pond (Eagle) - 1,250 Mountain Home Reservoir - 3,000 Parkcenter Pond (Boise) - 1,000 Payette Pond - 500 Quinn's Pond (Boise) - 500 Redwood Pond - 250 Riverside Pond (Boise) - 500 Rotary Pond (Caldwell) - 500 Sawyer's Ponds - 1,000 Settler's Pond (Meridian) - 250 Veteran's Park Pond (Boise) - 1,000 Wilson Spring (Nampa) - 500 Wilson Spring Ponds (Nampa) - 1,500 The number of trout actually released may be altered by weather, water conditions, equipment problems or schedule changes. If delays occur, trout will be stocked when conditions become favorable.
