Rainbow Trout Stocking Report

Personnel from Fish and Game's Nampa Hatchery will be releasing more than 20,000 catchable-sized rainbow trout at the following locations during November. Note that in addition to hatchery rainbow trout, steelhead will be released into the Boise River on November 6, November 13 and November 20. Fifty steelhead will also be released into the Payette River (at Plaza Bridge in Emmett) on November 13. See list below for location and number of trout: Boise River (Boise) - 4,000 Boise River (Eagle to Middleton) - 2,000 Caldwell Pond #1 - 1,000 Caldwell Pond #2 - 500 Eagle Island Pond - 1,000 Ed's Pond (Emmett) - 250 Marsing Pond - 500 McDevitt Pond (Meridian) - 300 Mill Pond (Horseshoe Bend)- 1,000 Parkcenter Pond (Boise) - 1,500 Quinn's Pond (Boise) - 1,000 Redwood Pond (Boise) - 250 Riverside Pond (Boise) - 300 Rotary Pond (Caldwell) - 500 Sawyer's Ponds (Emmett) - 1,000 Ten-mile Ponds (Lowman) - 1,000 Veteran's Park Pond (Boise) - 1,000 Wilson Spring (Nampa) - 1,000 Wilson Spring Ponds (Nampa) - 2,000 The number of trout actually released may be altered by weather, water conditions, equipment problems or schedule changes. If delays occur, trout will be stocked when conditions become favorable.
