Pintail Season Halts December 10

Pintail ducks may not be taken after December 10. Because of continued poor reproduction of pintails across northern prairie pothole regions of North America, hunting for this dabbling duck species was curtailed this year. In Idaho, the restriction took the form of a 60-day season and reduced limits. Hunting for other species of ducks continues through January 24 in most of Idaho and through January 17 in the Fort Hall area (Area 1). Pintail hunting in the Fort Hall area ends December 3.
