Otter Season Closes In Magic Valley Region

As of 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2003, a total of 20 river otters had been trapped in the Magic Valley Region and reported to the Jerome Fish and Game office. The regional quota for otters is 20; however, trappers have another 48 hours (or until 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 24) to bring in other animals for tagging that they may be allowed to keep. This is assuming they have not already trapped their maximum of two otter per trapper. Contact the regional office at 324-4359 for any questions or comments regarding this furbearer season.
