Online Trip Auction a Success

With more than 100 bidders from New York to Oregon, the Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation's 19th Annual 2009 On-Line Trip Auction was a great success. The auction brought in more than $15,000 with the help of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, those who donated to the auction and underwriting support from Outdoor Central (part of The Active Network). Final auction totals will be completed by the end of March. "With over 38 winning bidders, the foundation is proud to be able to support the wonderful work of 'Be Outside' and the Idaho Children and Nature Network," said Gayle Valentine, foundation executive director. "What a fabulous gift to give our future generations, the appreciation and love of the great outdoors of Idaho." The auction may be over, but the foundation's mission continues. The foundation is dedicated to protecting and sustaining Idaho's fishing, hunting and wildlife heritage for present and future generations. The Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established in 1990, with a volunteer board of directors that works in all regions of the state, funding habitat projects and wildlife conservation education projects.
