If you've received your December gas bill, you know the cost of heating your home has gone up. There are some simple things you can do to save money during the cold winter months, and you can learn about them for free. The MK Nature Center is hosting a Home Energy Conservation Workshop on Saturday, January 22 from 9 a.m. to noon. Learn how to make your home more comfortable and energy efficient. If you're remodeling or building a new home, you'll learn ways to save money and help the environment by using ENERGY STAR appliances and renewable energy sources. The workshop is sponsored by a consortium of public organizations dedicated to community enrichment and environmental stewardship. Contact the MK Nature Center at 334-2225 for more information.
