Nature Center Offers Cool Summer Activities

Kids in the Creek July 26 10:00-11:30 AM It's getting hot out there. This is the perfect opportunity to bring kids ages 8 and up to learn something new while cooling down. We all know bears and herons eat fishÉbut what do the fish eat? Learn about stream ecology by turning over rocks and splashing around in the Boise River. You might even catch a sculpin! Kids 8-18 welcome. Free admission; meet at the entrance to the Nature Center. Call 334-2225 with any questions. Using the 5 senses at the MK Nature Center July 30 2:00 & 4:00PM Learn how to use all 5 senses at the nature center. We will focus on things you can hear, touch, taste, smell, and see at the nature center. All ages welcome. Critter Care July 31 2:00PM In addition to all the wildlife you can see outside, the nature center is home to several critters that live inside our building. These animals need to be fed and you can watch this process! Follow a nature center employee through feeding the kestrels, snakes, and salamander and learn more about each of these animals. Open to all ages.
